Rusty halo

Can you believe I caught such beautiful morning light? I am usually up before sunrise but I have never taken blog photos this early! Remind me next Thursday to not wear heels though, its my insanely busy day at uni and sore feet and pretty much falling asleep in lectures don't seem to make for a lovely day 

 When I was home the other weekend I went through the stuff I left at home while I was packing and found this cardigan thing in my wardrobe. Its probably not even meant for me but it was in there so I claim it! It takes the chill off, thanks Mum!

I made this particular button necklace a while back. I am building up quite a collection now but this is definitely the biggest and brightest. I bought a bag of these buttons years ago and I think the only time I used them was when a few of us threaded them through my friends dreadlocks last year after a few beverages. So this is the result of the many unused buttons

Nobody Listens to Silence

Busy, busy today at uni but thankfully it does keep me out of trouble though.

 As cold as it is, I am so happy it is cold again! So thankful to be able to chuck on some jeans and a blazer and run out the door. This is essentially my uniform but it is a uniform I like to wear so that makes it ok right? Right!

I remember when I first saw these boots it was love at first sight. However it did take me 6 months until I bought them! Luckily I did in the end

Looks Like Rain

The other weekend one of my brothers came down and stayed at the flat while he was on a diving course. Was pretty fun to catch up and we even went out for tea on Saturday night. Mum was pretty proud. We ended up walking through a field type thing on the way home and boy did these shoes sink! Was all fun and games though

A few years back my sister in law let me have this blazer when she was cleaning up what was the old office. I changed the buttons decorated the pocket flaps and added lazy daisies to the lapels. What do you know? Jazzed up jacket just like that! It is super cozy

You Will Always Be the Same

First day of lectures was pretty exciting. It is silly how excited I am to be studying again after 3 months off. It is still surprisingly warm here which makes the walk to uni a lot more pleasant than the rain.

I bought a new bag to carry my lecture books and laptop to uni , last years bag is looking a bit more worse for wear so it was about time!

These creepers are seriously amazing. Super comfy and make any outfit a bit more punk. Clearly a very necessary weapon in my arsenal of shoes

La Cienega Just Smiled

Had a few wee errands to run around town the other day, so comfortable was somewhat necessary for a change. I am still having a hard time getting used to it being warm down here though, last year it felt like winter was an all year season. Oh well, Dunedin is always a good place to be whatever the weather!

I was surprised at the amount of people that commented on my shoes, for once I am not the only one that thinks they are awesome! What a great investment

Nobody Girl

Mum bought me this wicked skirt last year in Wellington at Recycle Boutique while she was up there for World Of Wearable Arts. Its one of my favourite shops no matter what city it is in, there is always an awesome find hidden somewhere, the hunt just makes it even more fun. This skirt basically rode me the whole way through second semester last year, it is so warm and goes with just about anything!

I managed to find a wee spot to take photos luckily, I despise taking photos indoors, they always turn out crap and the lighting is always horrible. This is the first set I have taken since moving down to Dunedin and I was terrified. At home I took photos on self timer around the garden etc when nobody was too aware of it. Here however is different, self timer in public is awkward. I will look absolutely mental when someone rounds the corner while I am taking photos. That has not happened yet though! Fingers crossed it wont

Come Pick Me Up

These togs are River Island that I bought last year on asos. Sadly for me I didn't actually go swimming at all while I was home during the summer. However when I returned home for a few days before o week I swore to myself that I simply HAD to go for a dip in the river. It was freezing
